Considering SE Asia: Myanmar Reflection

How have geography and history shaped the development of Myanmar?  Use specific evidence from the activity to support your argument.

  1. The geography and history of Myanmar has greatly shaped the development of the country. The environment of Myanmar contains diverse plant and animal species. Bamboo is a very important resource to the Burmans since they use the crop to make tools and even shelter. The Central Lowlands is a very important place for Myanmar because this is the location of the Irrawaddy River, which is very essential for transportation purposes and greatly benefits the economy. An important event in history that eventually led to Burma's freedom was World War II. After WWII ended, Burma was freed, and then three years later, it gained full independence.

  2. It helps shape the development of the country. There are many species of plants and animals. Bamboo is a very important resource because it is used for many different things like shelter. The Irrawaddy river is very important transportation to trade goods. It greatly benefits the economy. After the occurrence of World War 2 Myanmar succeeded in gaining their independence.
